Livelihood Program of Caritas Hyderabad organized a tree Plantation Campaign at the villages of Oon, Adhi Gaam and Abasar Tehsil Nagarparkar Distrcit Tharparkar (Interior Sindh) from Feb 25 – Mar 2, 2010. Mr. Amir Rafiq (Coordinator Livelihood Program Caritas Pakistan Lahore) elaborated the importance of Plants in Human life as well as the beauty of the Earth. He added that plants will help our land to reduce pollution which also reduces the risk of health hazards associated with the pollution. Mr. Mumtaz Bashir (Coordinator Livelihood Program caritas Pakistan Hyderabad) thanked Mr. Amir Rafiq for the valuable input on Water conservation and Tree Plantation with the communities of the dry area where the life is very tough and the people are living hand to mouth, most of them belong to Hindu Community (Parkari).
